Privacy policy

EzVenda lets shop owners in Pakistan run an online shop. This page explains what information we hold about the people who use it, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We do not sell anyone's information.
Two kinds of people, two roles
- Shop owners (merchants) sign up for EzVenda. We are responsible for their account information.
- Shoppers buy from those shops. The shop owner decides what happens with a shopper's order details; we hold them on the shop owner's behalf so the shop can run. If you bought from a shop and have a question about your order, the shop is your first contact.
What we collect
From shop owners: your name, email address and password (stored only as a one-way hash), the shop you set up (its name, address on the web, products, pictures, pages and settings), the orders your shop receives, records of your subscription payments, and a log of changes made to your shop, including changes made by an AI assistant you connected.
From shoppers, on behalf of the shop: what you enter at checkout (your name, phone number, delivery address and, if you give it, your email address) and what you ordered. A small cookie keeps your cart, and remembers the browser that placed an order so it can show that order again.
From visitors to ezvenda.com: this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Its fonts load from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when they load.
Everyone: our servers keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser, the page asked for) to keep the service secure and working.
If you sign in with Google, once that option is offered: we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google, and use them only to create your EzVenda account and sign you in.
Why we use it
To run your account and your shop, to send the emails the service needs (such as order notices and sign-in links), to bill your subscription, to keep the service secure, and to answer you when you write to us. We do not use shoppers' information for our own marketing.
Ad pixels, and AI assistants you connect
A shop owner can add Meta, TikTok or Google pixels to their shop. When they do, those companies receive page views and purchases from that shop under the owner's own account with them and under their own privacy policies. Order pages, which show a shopper's details, never load pixels.
A shop owner can connect an AI assistant, such as ChatGPT or Claude, to their shop. The assistant then reads and changes the shop's products, collections, pages and design on the owner's instruction, and that provider handles what it sees under the owner's own account with them. An assistant cannot delete anything, change orders or publish the shop.
Who helps us run EzVenda
- Contabo hosts our servers, in the European Union.
- Cloudflare carries traffic to EzVenda, stores shop pictures and serves this website.
- Resend sends our emails.
Each handles information only to provide its service to us. We share information with anyone else only if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open. When you ask us to close your account, we delete it and your shop's information within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep, such as payment records.
Your choices
You can see and change most of your information in your account. To get a copy of what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, write to support@ezvenda.com. If you are a shopper, we will pass your request to the shop you bought from where it is theirs to decide.
Keeping it safe
Connections to EzVenda are encrypted, passwords are stored only as hashes, and access to the systems that hold your information is limited to the people who run them.
Children
EzVenda is for adults running a business. We do not knowingly hold information about anyone under 18 as an account holder.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes. If a change matters to shop owners, we will tell them by email before it takes effect.
